What’s On at Zinc: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

There’s lots on at Zinc this month; start December in style and get well and truly in the festive mood with our Carols in the Courtyard event; a free evening of carols and community.  The Zinc building will be illuminated especially for the evening and we’ll be handing out mince pies and mulled wine

(a big thanks to our kind sponsor John Sear Estate Agents for this), plus cookies and squash for the smaller singers.

Ongar Mums Group will also be there with their Raving Reindeers Grotto and we will have an arts workshop before the singing starts.  Come along and join us for a carols sing song, we will have all the words ready on song sheets and the speakers will be booming so don’t worry about being too shy to join in!

The grotto costs just £3 and needs to be booked in advance – please email ongarmums@gmail.com to reserve a slot.

Or once the school holidays start why not get your children creative at an Artytastic arts workshop – while you have a break, or perhaps get some of those last minute bits done? The morning session is fully booked, but there are limited spaces in the afternoon workshop.  The theme for this workshop will be 3D Christmas and the children will plan, design and make a Christmas themed model to take home.  For more details check out the Facebook event.

Of course the main event is our wonderful pantomime with Stage One – Sleeping Beauty is coming very soon.  Oh yes it is! Cue lots and lots of bad panto puns.

The rehearsals are going brilliantly and we’re so excited about opening our doors ready to entertain Ongar. Have a look at our fabulous cast – if they don’t persuade (or scare you enough!) to come then we’re not sure what will!   Tickets on sale now.

Not forgetting our usual programme of clubs and activities. Plus some wonderfully warming special offers and festive afternoon teas in our Cafe at Zinc!

Check out the Calendar for a full list of What’s On this December or download the What’s On as a PDF for handy reference.

Hope to see you at Zinc very soon!
