Arrive for 6pm, dinner and an arts based creative activity to break the ice and let us all get to know each other and settle in.
Start the day off in style with a full English fry up, where we will discuss the plans for the weekend and get everyone involved and ready to relax and enjoy themselves. We will also plan the evening meal together and decide how to prepare it.
After breakfast let’s get outside! Weather permitting, we will visit a local beauty spot for a nature walk and lots of lovely fresh air, including a stop for refreshments.
Our return from the great outdoors will be followed by a creative pottery workshop that is both therapeutic and relaxing, opening the mind and relieving daily stresses. Creative juices flowing we will then all get together to prepare and cook the evening meal as a team.
Over dinner we will have time to reflect on the day and then relax with some games and enjoy a film. The film will be shown in our own intimate theatre to give a true cinema experience in a relaxed setting.
Breakfast, followed by a health & well-being session in our very own gym where we will look at wellbeing and mindfulness, as well as have fun and let off some steam.
For lunch we will be making a visit to a local restaurant to enjoy a meal together. This will provide a safe and supportive environment in which to encourage social skills and interaction, as well as to experience and practice a restaurant experience. The cost of this meal is fully included within the cost of the weekend.
The afternoon will include some games and relaxation as well as another arts workshop, exploring our creative sides and producing our own masterpieces.
Evaluation and reflection. Followed by goodbyes and collection by 6pm

There will be a maximum of 6 places on each weekend, this allows us the flexibility within the program to maximise engagement and interaction.
If you currently have a support worker as part of your daily care plan then we will work with you to facilitate this on our respite weekend.
